Her Wasted Longing

She belongs to no one,
Wondering about quite freely;
She longs for just one,
Pondering her options wisely;
She implores more than once,
Honoring her heart shyly;

She makes not a puss,
Absorbing her reaction sadly;
She moves without a hush
Resisting her feelings finally
She parts, finally done,
Waiting for long, calmly.

Drifting with the Tide

Bumpy and shaky,
On this ferry ride;
Sunny and windy,
Rolling with the tide;
On my way to getaway
From Male to Villigili today.

Crowded and busy
Strangers in every seat;
It's making me a bit giddy,
The dance to a wavy beat,
As the ferry drifts with the tide,
On this short ride, and here we arrive.

Cheers!

Survivor In A Beautiful Shell

Nomad of the deep,
Is very fast underwater;
Lay eggs on the beach,
And extremely slow walker;
Rests idly on the reef,
And surfaces timely to breath.

Though everyone keeps adoring,
Few lucky ones get to go
Into the water, exploring
the reef with a GoPro,
Where this beauty rests
lazily on its breasts;

At ease in a beautiful shell,
a survivor in a few hundred;
It’s mother never bid farewell
and most siblings got hunted.

It will never see its many kids,
Neither would they ever see her;
Parenthood for it, Nature forbids,
For a century-long life traveling far.

Cheers!

Wedding Showers

Riding after work,
On a flooded road,
Splashing as I go,
Wearing my raincoat;

Stressed after work,
In formal attire,
Drenched I rode,
To heart's desire,

To a friend's wedding,
Many showed in this weather,
To offer their blessing,
For a lifetime together.

Cheers!

Outcry of Nature

Dawned with torrential downpour
Flooding the city as sky outfall
with earth shattering thunderstorm
and continuous heavy downfall

Stormed out of bed too early,
Scared by the sounds unearthly,
Just after sunrise at six thirty,
It’s still dark, gloomy and cloudy.

Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
and every online local newspaper
Posted updates and every picture,
of thunderous outcry of Nature

Cheers!

Mystery in the Woodland

There was a huge tree; centered in thick woodland growth,
Standing tall and free, appeared like the king of the grove,
Thick and twiggy arms, spread-out wide providing shade,
Safe from harms way, his countless followers never strayed.

On a wooden bench, by this very large tree, she sat alone;
Hiding in a trench, I peeped from afar, quiet and still like a stone;
Made my gut wrench, as the wind brought to me that cologne,
With her signature scent; to the smell of it, roses started to bloom.
Birds flew around singing, as branches of the tree leisurely swayed;
And she kept grinning, as if she can see, but well hidden i stayed;
Her curvy figure swinging, she started walking across the glade;
My cheeks twitching, I smiled as she approached calling my name.

With a pleased tone, she asks “why are you inside there, why hide”?
The truth I told, and the rest of the story, we agreed to seal tight.
A story untold, what happened lived in the woods whom we did confide;
Their king hold, his countless followers to their words, far and wide.

In My Dreams

In my dreams,
You sway to the beat I play;
You play with your hair as you slay
Me, with how you gaze into my soul,
Wearing your dazzling smile,

In my dreams,
You dance on your toes,
You glance at me timidly as you pose
And shy away in a resisting way,
Knowing you wanted to stay,

In my dreams,
You fall into my arms,
Your shawl covering your youthful charm
And we dance on the beach that night,
Smiling under the moonlight.

In my dreams,
You homed when I slept,
You stoned me with glamour when you stepped,
Now I must bid farewell to reality,
Into dream world of fantasy.

Six Years Ago Today

This was 6 years ago today;

I should go back to college,

Before memory fades away,

To get what I learnt polished;

I should go back and study,

Before I get old and pudgy.

A Thousand Fantasies

She lives to read anything writers give,
Books her weed and she reads to live;
Neck bent in a bow like author of the book,
She does it like how flame does to wood;
Newspaper or a magazine, a blog or an old classic,
Like a shot of adrenaline, makes her feel fantastic.

Anything she can get, confined in her room;
Anytime she’s all set, satisfied in a quiet gloom;
Living a thousand lives, in quite a different world,
In most she thrives, and declines barter for gold;
She’d prefer a dream, of a lifetime in a fantasy,
For which she’d redeem, anything of value in reality.

Cheers!

Surrender to Silence

In stillness you will hear, the deep inner voice in you,
resonating loud and clear, quite colorful and all true;

For this you must surrender, and be calm and still too,
In the silence tender, as subconscious sees through;

In solitude you will discover, your reflection and shadow,
Inside-out, allover and under, you may find it sad and blue;

Wrapped at rest in nature, your inner strength will grow,
And your body will nurture, making you happy and aglow.

Cheers!
